Shannon joined the Pirate Club in 1995 as a student worker and then took a permanent position as the Data Entry Clerk for the Pirate Club. She held this position for 4 1/2 years before accepting her current position as Special Projects Coordinator in March of 2001. A native of Wendell, NC, she earned her undergraduate degree from East Carolina University in Family and Community Services in 2001.

Shannon is responsible for helping with and organizing special events sponsored by the Pirate Club. These special events include game socials, golf tournaments, Pirate Club meetings, the Pirate Club Auction and The Great Pirate Purple/Gold Pigskin Pig-Out Party. She is also responsible for game day operations for the Pirate Club's Pat Draughon Lounge and Pirate Club Building, the Pirate Kids Club and Junior Pirate Club, and other various day-to-day office responsibilities.

Shannon and her husband, Lee, a 1990, 1992 and 2000 East Carolina University Graduate reside in Greenville and have one daughter, Jameson.
