East Carolina Baseball Officially Opens Fall Practice
Despite inclement weather in the area over the last couple days, the East Carolina baseball team under direction of second-year head baseball coach Cliff Godwin, officially opened fall practice last weekend. The Pirates, who began individual workouts in late August, were set to start team practice on Friday, Sept. 25 but weather conditions forced Godwin to reschedule practice and scrimmage sessions. ECU finally got on the field in a team environment on Sunday, Sept. 27 for a brief scrimmage and weather pending, will be back on the field, Wednesday Sept. 30 for its second intra-squad scrimmage starting around 3 p.m. (ET). ECU Takes Home Lady Pirate Intercollegiate Title
East Carolina continued its solid play to open the 2015-16 season by claiming the 2015 Lady Pirate Intercollegiate team title with a score of 891 Tuesday afternoon. The two-day, 54-hole event was being held at the par-72, 6,039-yard Brook Valley Country Club. (More)
